South Algounquin Township and the Madawaska Valley

When my wife and I came to this region, we knew we had found the right place to look for waterfront property. It had everything we needed. When you conjure up images of Algonquin Provincial Park and its topography, that is what you are getting in the township of South Algonquin and the Madawaska Valley! Rolling hills, pristine lakes, flowing highland rivers and hardwoods ablaze in the fall with stunning Autumn colours. I should not forget to mention the "bang-for-your-buck" you get here too. This region has all the appeal of Muskoka without the outrageous prices!
Aside from the natural appeal, there are fully serviced communities, a local hospital, St. Francis Memorial in Barry's Bay (https://www.sfmhosp.com/), hardware stores, gas stations, grocery stores LCBO and the Beer Store as well as everything else a cottager requires.
The people in the region are fantastic and friendly and it was this warm welcome that prompted my wife and I to move here full time and begin another chapter in our life.
